The golden retriever was found in the British Isles.

They are a cross between a yellow-coated retriever and a Tweed Water Spaniel or setters. Since they love to hunt, they may have a little big of bloodhound in them. The breed was first shown as a Golden Flat-Coat. A golden retriever is one of the world's leading companion dogs.

The breed has the best obedience and they have become known for their friendliness. Lately, the breed has been used for hunting and tracking and in law enforcement. They are able to detect for narcotics. They also make excellent guide dogs for the blind and disabled. They have a desire to please and are full of love.

Some of their names give respect to the fact that they are very bright and should be treated like a human.
