Golden Retrievers are a great breed to own as a family pet or as a companion.

They have become very popular as a domestic breed because they have so much liveliness in them. Their high has medium length and their coat will come in different shades. Their colors can be anywhere from a cream to a golden yellow. However, if you are looking for a golden retriever, they shouldn't have any red in them. However, if you are looking and find a red retriever, they are a lab retriever. There isn't much of a difference in their personalities or looks.

When it comes to selling a golden retriever, they normally go very quickly. You may want to go on a waiting list and hoping that they have enough pups for you to be able to reserve one. A full-blooded will usually have papers. They are accepted in many of the canine clubs.

If you are looking for a show dog, they will be at least $400-$600. Full bloods are great if you want to breed and earn some extra cash from that.  However, if you get a dog for a family pet, try to look for a golden retriever for sale that doesn't have papers. Without papers you are looking to pay anywhere between $50-$200. Depending on where you live and how many times the dog's breed, the price will vary.

The trader's guide is a paper dedicated to the classifieds and they have many opportunities when it comes to selling or buying pets, especially dogs. You may also want to look at the bulletin boards at some of their local stores. Many people post their ads there.

If you still haven't found any golden retrievers for sale, you should go online and look it up. Try to get a dealer some where near you so that you can go visit the pups or dog and decide from the visit if you want to commit to the purchase. If you are on a budget, try to post your own ad. You never know what will come out of your ad, but you may find offers for other breeds that are like the golden retriever like the Labrador retriever.

Possibly, before you even go on your search you may want to know if you are capable of handling the dog's needs. They don't have too many needs other than the occasional bath, brushing, and check up. They only need to eat twice a day with a snack, but they do require a lot of attention. If you find yourself having to leave the house for long work hours or such, you may want to purchase two dogs. They are fully capable of entertaining themselves by playing with each other.
