Bird Watching Tips
As you the reader has read books on bird watching, you have
probably have been overloaded with bird watching facts.
The simple truth of bird watching is that you should be able to
just go out and enjoy yourself.
This is such a simple pass time that you can just sit back
against a tree and watch. The recording and the logs that you keep
can be as simple or as complex as you want them to be. The idea is
to just enjoy the pass time and if you are one of those people who
are anal about records, then the societies and the organizations
listed within this text will be glad to take your data as part of
records and facts.
Bird watching is more important today than ever before. As the
human population grows and the delicate balance of our ecosystem is
jeopardized, every eye that is watching birds is also watching for
that balance to tip. If a species is being wiped out, it is the
bird watchers who will have the best advantage to catch that
balance for from being tipped to opposite side of the spectrum.
With bird watchers in the field there are a thousand pair of eyes
that are able to see the subtle changes in nuances of a species
habitat and their populations.
In this aspect bird watching goes from a pastoral past time to a
mandatory vigilance over the wildlife realm. As we all become
guardians of our own planet the bird watchers are the first defense
against total planet destruction. Other species only have
biologists and other scientists to watch the population ebb and
flow. The birds are lucky because thousands of people are
watching birds and they watch them as they flourish are even
perhaps diminish.
As an amateur birdwatcher your first duty is just to have fun,
but as you get more interested in the past time you can be a
valuable contributor to many elements of science. The most
exciting thing for a birdwatcher to find is a species that was
thought to be extinct. The joy of finding at least one bird
out there where for years people thought they have died out is a
feeling that can not be compared to any of other situation.
Or you may be at the opposite end of that feeling when you see the
last two of a species and know that their chances of survival are
very poor to none at all.
